Yay, it’s Friday!

Friday, August 18, 2017 –

Yeah, it’s Friday!  Friday’s used to be special to me.  I always looked forward to Friday.  Especially Friday night.  It was a night for skirts and beer.  I used to get so exited about the coming Friday nights, I would over do it with the partying on Thursday night. I missed a few Friday’s because of this routine, which was always disappointing.

Tonight we’re going to a free concert at one of the local wineries, Terra D’Oro Winery.   It’s sponsored by the Amador County Arts Council.  They have a summer series of free concerts throughout the County, at various County parks with different genres.

The band is called Jeremy Norris and The Dangerous Mood.  The band is a good blues band.  Being a blues man, this will be our third concert to see this local group.  It’s been interesting to watch this performer improve through the years.  It’s a beautiful winery, and a nice venue.

There are more than 40 wineries in our area, Shenandoah Valley.  I predict one day this will become like Napa Valley, which has world fame for it’s beauty and various wines. This would be a place to invest in Real Estate if you are younger.  There’s a fortune to be had here one day.

This morning it’s peaches and strawberries with granola, and smothered in cream.  Healthy, except for the cream.

I prefer a cereal called “Oats and Honey”, but I guess it’s all been eaten, but the granola is fine too.

Journey's 1st day of Pre-school

Also, yesterday was my Grandgirl’s first day of pre-School.

She’s truly a beauty!

A terminal disease certainly changes your outlook on about everything.

I hope to see our three Grandkids soon.

We had a little traffic this evening, but that’s not so new.  What is new?  The visit ended up being a working visit to be endured by a couple of neighbors, John and Mike.  They helped me and Patty put the boards on the retaining wall.

Patty’s dog, “Chloe” is an 8 year old Chihuahua.  We’ve had her since she was 6 weeks old.

She’s always been an eat’n machine, but just in the last several weeks she’s started snorting for the leftovers.  I see a whole new stupid dog trick coming.
