We’re up and packing for the Vintage RV Show today. Patty got the new products posted on the website, and we’re ready to have some fun looking at all the glampers, which we hear could number about 250 of them.
We got to 49’r RV Park at 10:30 am. We walked through the parked glampers, and there were a bunch of them. We walked 5 1/2 hours and saw about 1/3 of them. We did spend some time at many of these showing our newly designed glamper pillows, passing out cards, and making general conversation. It was a good time, and the RVs were interesting. Patty gained a few more ideas for hers.
She especially liked talking to those that painted their glampers themselves. She asked many questions about the painting process. She’s been pondering this painting of ours for two years. The only thing holding her up all this time is fear. Hopefully after today she’s overcome that, and has a little more confidence to move forward.
She has a paint sprayer she bought at a yard sale for $25. I told her for that price she wouldn’t have to worry about the cleaning process as she could simply throw the thing out. I think she’s ready to move forward on this project.
We stopped at the Old Well Motel and Cafe for linner (lunch & dinner). This is across from the Dry Town Saloon, the only wet spot in Dry Town on Hwy 49. We’ve shared a couple of good memories there.
Patty has a patty melt, and I a burger and of course fries. It was a 1/2 lb. burger, and was pretty good. Only the bread for a bun was lacking in quality, but overall pretty good. However, the fries were as good as I’ve found!
On the way home we stopped at Lowe’s to buy the remainder of paint needed for the house being painted this coming week. They had a deal whereas if you applied and were approved for a Lowe’s credit card you’d get $30 off your next purchase. We did this, and with our military discount we realized significant savings. We’ll cancel the card now.
What’s strange is we locked our credit, but forgot we did so until after we were approved for the card. Now we’re wondering how that happened? We do need to lock through two more credit agencies, and that might be the problem.
We got home about 6:00pm, and secured the chickens, turned on the TV, and settled in for the evening with some chocolate cake. Patty fell asleep about 7:00pm. She ought to rise fairly early tomorrow. which isn’t a bad thing as we have to remove all the shutters, flower boxes, and wall hangings to get the house ready to be pressure washed for the new paint job coming.
