Canaries are Singing and Making a Nest, getting ready to lay an Egg or more

We’ve had quite a bit of folk dropping in this past week.  Thus, I just haven’t had much time to write.  Toby and Barbara were here for several days over the holiday.  Toby helped load rounds of pine, split and stack with neighbor Mike.  These are compliments of neighbors Larry and Zet.  It will be sometime this coming summer we’ll be able to burn these.

The principal owner of JBS Energy, Inc., Jim made the trip up from Elk Grove today to visit.  It was a pleasant surprise to see Jim.IMG_2053.JPG

Hospice Chaplain to introduce himself and visit.  He was nice to do so.

Daughter Lauren arrived shortly afterward from North San Juan, where she lives.

She designed a nice graphic depicting Patty’s second Saturn return to print on a tote bag.

Dinner consisted of a grilled Rib-eye steak with artichoke and “heart” baked potato.  We then settled in to watch some TV.  Lauren turned us on to a Netflix show, Black Mirror, a type of updated Twilight Zone.

We picked up neighbors Jeff and Cindi to caravan down to Al’s heartfelt memorial service in downtown Sacramento.  The service included military honors.  His Goldwing motorcycle was displayed during the service.  We saw many old friends that we used to ride with.

We stopped at the In-N-Out Burger on the way home for a double double compliments of Jeff and Cindi, thank you.

Previous co-worker Jeff with wife Sharon came up for a visit bringing lunch of smoked chicken and potato salad, with Thai spring roll appetizer.  They also brought fruit from their citrus trees, grapefruit, tangelos, meyer lemons and limes.  Great visit with great people.
